By
studying
their
bones,
scientists
have
worked
out
that
the
average
height
for
men
was
167
centimetres
and
154
centimetres
for
women,
about
seven
centimetres
less
than
people
around
there
nowadays.
These
people
usually
had
healthy
teeth.
This
was
due
to
the
foods
they
ate;
studies
have
found
that
there
is
plenty
of
fluoride
in
the
area
naturally.
Too
much
fluoride
will
discolour
teeth,
but
it
means
there
will
be
less
tooth
decay.
